London Zoo tiger in progress
Over the last 25 years Linden has been studying movement in animals, working in cement and cloth or paper and PVA draped around a strong metal framework.
The sculptures are created by taking a mould of the finished artwork and making a limited number of varied casts. Metal powders, marble or slate, mixed with polyester resin are used for the final casts and the work can be kept outside.
The work includes greyhounds in motion, life-sized pig sculptures, leaping cats and horse sculptures.
"I have produced two tiger sculptures as part of London Zoo's Tiger Territory exhibition. Also for ZSL, a pygmy hippo a year later and in 2022, I completed two Colobus monkey sculptures which are installed in and next to their new enclosure."
